I'm curious if anyone has been diagnosed and treated for adult HGH deficiency. Can these shots improve energy, stamina, bone density and body comp? Is chronically low HGH in adults below 50 or 60 years old a problem that should be treated, or is it "good" to have it, like some people think it's "good" to have a low metabolism?

quite a bit actually.......Low levels of GH are measured by IGF1 levels due to the pulsatile nature of its release from the Anterior pituitary. When it is chronically low it signal a big issue. Usually low energy result, with no ability to gain anything from exercise and a complete loss in body comp. What happens is you get more visceral fat deposition and belly fat and you can no longer build muscles. The number one muscle in the body is hit the hardest and that is why low GH levels correlate with poor cardia output and failure. Many cardiologist are starting to to at GH for their heart failure and tranplant cases because it is so effective in reversing the losses. Problem is its very expensive. Instead testosterone is being used and it is also effective especially in men but not so much in women. GH is also one of the best way to increase bone density as well. In the right patients it can save their life. Most women's level start falling at 40 yrs big time.......men it is more insiduous and really caves after 50 to 55. The worse the diet and metabolism the faster the onset. DM type 2 have the worse levels. That is whhy their bodies fall apart quickly. Hope this helps you. This needs to be done by a doc who knows what they are doing and Adult def. of GH requires a supression test now to get a Rx. |
