Hi all! I'm going to give birth soon, and I'm looking for some good paleo recipes that will freeze well. Anyone have any ideas for me? So far, all I've got is meatloaf..! Thanks!

congrats & good luck. any type of soup (e.g. pumpkin or veggie soup). i find curry is good, you can make the protein (chicken, lamb, beef) in a big batch and i always do a huge pot of sweet potato/pumpkin mash which goes great with curry. spagetti sauce is another good one as if you make a nice meaty/tomoato sauce base you can serve it with cabbage noodles, use it to stuff peppers, top big mushrooms and grill them etc. |

Stew. I ate a lot of it during my first month. Dent even red onfreeze stuff. Just thrown in some meat, veggies and simmer all day. Oh also. Freeze lots of bone broth. You'll Need the extra minerals during your recovery. One of my girlfriends brought me two gallons of marrow bone broth and it was so soothing. I drank it like tea in a mug. |

consider getting a some sort of food saver. Vacuumed meat and fish keep and thaw much better. Less oxidation of fats... etc, and you can maybe later on try sous vide cooking. Sous vide cooked salmon suffers almost no loss of quality when frozen in the bag. |

I don’t know if this works for you but we buy the crockpot liners fill them with meat and cooking sauce and some veggies twist tie them shut and freeze, then they can go in to the pot in the morning and take no attention. They are not all appropriate but the recipes in a year of crockpotting are all gluten free. I look at the meat ones and most of them are paleo friendly or adapatable. |
