I have been reading Paleo for Athletes and it seems to be driven more towards running and endurance sports than resistance training and I know this question has been asked be to be honest, some of the answers are too scientific and I just cant seem to get a yes/no kind of feel as it relates to me specifically. I am 6'2" down from 258 to 217 and decent size frame on a VLC Paleo diet. What I am trying to determine with as little techno-babble as possible is should i add some carbs right after my morning resistance workout to restore glycogen levels? Keep in mind i want to continue to lose fat but keep or more importantly add muscle. this is all about thinning out my waist and getting bigger everywhere else for clarity. Dont want to be like Arnold or anything, more like the "soloflex guy" is the goal.
And if the answer is yes i should, please give me a simple example of what you recommend. Like say a banana with some protein as soon as I am done working out.
Thanks in advance and again I apologize as I know this is close to several questions already asked but I need a answer to my specific situation which is why i am re-posting the question.
