I ordered a box of ground up grass-fed beef organs(heart, liver, kidney, lung-trachea, tongue, spleen, and cheek meat) from a meat company that delivers near where I live(creston valley meats). It specifically says it's for dogs, but is there any real reason I shouldn't eat it?

Lex Rooker (google him on rawpaleoforum) orders that kind of mix along with regular burger from Slankers in Texas. The only difference he says is that the dog food may not be processed at a USDA slaughter house...where the standards are higher than a pet food processing plant. He says he has never had a problem. |

I cannot speak to your specific question but I know for many agricultural commodities most countries regulate the toxins to a different degree for animal consumption. For example, aflatoxin in corn is limited to 20ppm for humans vs 300ppm for finishing cattle. |
