A friend of the family mid 30's, breastfeeding 2 years, fine physical health, has been experiencing a constant low-level nausea for the last 3 days. No changes in her eating patterns. She eats Paleo and does include raw dairy. She will "cheat" here n there with "sweets" coworkers bring to the office. The nausea does not prevent her from eating but doesn't increase or subside, either. No vomiting, bloating or gas. No other detectable symptoms other than a little more tired than usual. Ruled out UTI, giardia, h. pylori. Any thoughts?
When I was nursing I would get some "background nausea" from green tea. Caff, decaf, didn't matter. This only happened when I was breastfeeding and it didn't keep me from eating. Actually eating helped it go away.
Or, maybe she needs a pregnancy test :). Could be?
She's sure she's not pregnant? I got pregnant when nursing, and rather than nausea, I had urges to throw my toddler off my breast violently. (of course I never did it). That's when I knew I was pregnant, when this urge happened every night. It had happened before, once in a while, and I figured out that it was on the days when I was ovulating. Anyhow, Have her pee on the stick, just to be sure.
