Has anyone read Joseph SB Morse's The Evolution Diet? I read the first 40 or so pages on Google books (here), and it seems completely in-line with the Paleo lifestyle. If that is correct, however, why isn't this book talked about more along with the other books by Cordain, Wolf, Sisson, DeVany, etc.? Does anyone know more about this? Thanks!
The Evolution Diet is great and it actually predated all of the other paleo books you mention besides Cordain, but I think he's independent so he's not part of the mainstream "club". Also, I think the other authors don't want competition
It seems a bit light-weight - perhaps a good intro to the concepts - though most people prefer Sisson's book for that. Maybe Sisson is just a better self-promoter, but I think the Primal Blueprint is a pretty good read - and people just love it.
I looked at the google books link you provided and read reviews of the book at Amazon, especially previous editions - they were pretty hard on it. Grammer/prose issues, lack of depth (science) and recommending things like Cheerios and Triscuits! The newest edition cuts those out and is more strictly paleo. But then they include detoxing? Detox diets are the worst sort of mumbo jumbo, IMHO. (maybe not so humble opinion...)
