I was watching sesame street with my son and it was an episode on super foods. The puppets displaying super foods were broccoli, cheese, banana, and a piece of whole wheat bread. It was all I could do to shut it off, but my son is only 3 and I'm not to concerned. Anyway, it got me thinking.....What, if any, are considered paleo super foods?

I remember something innocuous my mother said to me at 3. It has stuck with me. I wouldn't underestimate a 3-year-old's ability to retain odd bits of info. – gilliebean Jul 1 2011 at 18:16

For sure on the organs. I would think.. sardines, mackerel, salmon, herring for the Omega 3's and the little bones for calcium. Greens such as kale and spinach - magnesium! Bone stock for the vitamins and the resulting gelatin. Berries. Avocado. And my favourite, the egg. Pastured of course :)

For sure. I read the title to this question, and thought "You bet - it's called liver." LOL But I agree wholeheartedly with your other choices, as well. – JansSushiBar Jul 1 2011 at 14:38

All food that falls under the paleo umbrella are super foods since they are what we evolved to eat.

David Wolfe the superfood guru said in a interview all animal food are superfood cause they are such rich and intense in nutrients and minerals. For him this is too high. He not take them, maybe some superfood deerantler, or deer placenta. or what he alls sells in his longevitywarehouse
