Beef or veal liver is cheap at the supermarket, and sold in slices. Drop a sliced onion and some garlic in a frying pan with butter, when the onion is brown, drop the slice of liver in the pan, 2 minutes each side. Enjoy. One slice has enough B12 vitamin for your needs during a month.
MathGirl's answer is awesome, so I'm going to try that...but what I've been doing is cook a few slices of bacon, add some bacon grease, add some onions let those cook, add ground beef and spices, chop up the liver pretty small add it in, chop up the bacon add it in, put some tomato sauce in. Gotta mask the liver with deliciousness!
I'll also add that I think it's a mental thing. Liver really isn't THAT bad. You gotta tell yourself how good it is. THink about if you were starving or pre prepare it and then heat it up at a time when you are starving.
stole this idea from but it has @Matt 11 become my goto liver recipe. Liver Philly Cheese Steaks.
Soak liver in oil, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Saute in oil/butter with onions and green peppers. serve with or without melted provolone cheese.
-- I've also added red sauce to make for a "pizza steak" which is pretty delicious too.
My old go to was fried coconut flake liver -- liver, dip in scrambled egg, roll in coconut flakes, fry in oil/butter. Finish with Salt.
