I was doing a lot of weight training and power lifting for a couple of years and was following the principal to eat 1 gram protein per pound of body weight every day. Now I am doing body weight training 2-3 days a week (quick and intense) , riding my bike every day (30-50 miles per week) and doing 1 long hike every week (5-6 miles).
I have been on a low carb keto paleo for about a month and feel good and getting leaner but I feel like I might be eating too much protein. What should my goal be ? I'm a 5'10" 175lb man and would like to get down to 165/106
For me protein is self limiting usually. At some point during the eating window I just don't want anymore and will fill myself with salad or other veggies. Just like the rats/mice in experiments, they do the same thing.
