I've been taking B-complex vitamins lately, and immediately my pee turned bright yellow. Will my pee be like that forever (as long as I take the supps), or will it stop after a while. I don't feel comfortable looking at that weird color :D.

It's the riboflavin aka B2 that gives it that color. It sticks around as long as you take B complex vitamins. It's not harmful. If you want to explore the world of weird colored urine, there's beets for pink, lots of asparagus will produce green or turquoise, and truly excessive carrots can make your pee (and skin) orange. |

There's more B2 in the vitamin than your body can currently process. Make sure you're taking them with a meal to slow digestion. Over time, my body got used to it but even if it doesn't it's not a big deal. |

I just want to say, these posts made my day. My pee does the same green thing with B complex, and I eat lots of beets but it's not my pee that turns red/purple. |

I've been googling this same question because I want to know the chemical reason the wizz turns yellow from riboflavin. Does anyone know the answer? Thank you. |
