I'm getting a new BBQ/Grill today and I'm thrilled! I know for the most part how to do meat on it but what are some of the best veggies to grill, and how do you go about it? What about tubers and other USO's?
Also, can you do liver on the grill? I don't see why not but I never heard of it.
Any other grilling tips to get me off on the right foot?
I just did liver on the grill the other day for the third time. The first time, i just sliced it and popped it there ( with technique, as it is very floppy and tries to slide between the bars, but when side its cooked it will be fine) It was awesomely delicious!! The last time I added some garlic and lemon....

For vegs. I do mushrooms and onions inside tinfoil, or chunky slices of courgette withs alt just on the grill. For potatoes, i do wrap them in tin foil, just leave them there doing their own stuff, or if you're using wood, pop hem among the ambers...yuuumm!!
Just experiment, really.
four basic ways I do veggies on the grill:
1. marinade and then skewer
2. oil, salt, pepper and right onto the grill
3. in a hash on a cast iron skillet.
4. tin foil tent
As far as what veggies, you can do all of them. You typically want to slice then into larger slices (rather than dice) or leave them whole.
For roots and tubers, par boil first to reduce the amount of time needed.
For gas grills I recommend a smoke box, and experiment with different wood types. For a charcoal grill I recommend using a mix of hardwood charcoal and hardwood chunks
throw veggies directly on grill either plain or with some rub and olive oil on em. Whole mushrooms are fantastic grilled, as are peppers. Eggplant and summer squash are very good too. With onions, a grill pan or foil may help just cause they fall through the grill easily. Potatoes obviously rock on the grill and give pineapple a try if you are branching out to grilling fruit too
