so this is my first post and i'm sure maybe there is someone who has asked this question before. Im not new to the Paleo diet but by no means am I strict either. Ive been wanting to buckle down and cut out most non Paleo foods because Ive found that they are now bugging me. I have not eaten much gluten and beans as I used to, but I struggle with how much fat I should eat. I am a very active person and I am actually going into the Air Force to be a Pararescuman and i'm trying to figure out how much fat, carbs, and protein I should eat. Lately I have been feeling always too full or my stomach hurts whenever I eat. Most of my diet is healthy fats and protein and I try to keep my carbs to veggies/fruits but I'm not always successful. Right now, I usually eat about 25-30% protein, 40-45% fat, and about 35-40% carbs(depends on day, math isn't exact because it changes frequently). Am I getting stomach pains and low energy from too much fat or protein? Sorry if it is difficult to understand what i'm trying to ask hah. Any help would be awesome!
It's only low energy if you don't eat enough calories. The ratio itself doesn't matter. Protein may be a bit high… but you don't give any idea what your goals are with such a diet. 20:40:40 is probably good for most folks.
