Hi! everyone. I'm planning to write a book about Ketogenic Diet Recipes for Weight Loss. But the recipes will be only meat recipes. May be like 101 recipes of Ketogenic Diet Meat Recipes. No dessert or beverage recipes. The reason is that because I just want to focus only meat recipes. I'm also planning on the Ketogenic Diet Dessert Recipes in a separate book. Is this a good idea? or do you think having meat, dessert, and beverage recipes in the same book would be better? Any comment please let me know. Thanks :)
Meat only recipes for weight loss? Might as well call it 101 recipes to increase your fatigue and inflammation / CRP, develop kidney stones, and dive into hypothyroidism / hypercholesterolemia.
I don't see the point of cookbooks / recipes when you can just throw a keyword into Pinterest and you're hit with hundreds of good ideas.
Good idea, let's hope someone doesn't post it to the web for free --- http://www.thefoodee.com/tag/whole30/
Honestly though, this has been done. People buy me paleo cook books all the time because (1) I used to work in a kitchen and love to cook and (2) they know that I am more-or-less paleoish.
The only two that I even kept are WellFed and Primal Sauces.
Also, if you are going to write a book about a ketogenic cooking, you probably should have some cred. Children who need to be fed a ketogenic diet cannot live on meat alone.
Sorry to sound mean, but I could barely even read your question. You are obviously NOT a writer, and if you want a book to sell, even a cookbook (maybe especially a cookbook!), you need to learn how to effectively use language. Writing a book is difficult - I know, in 2011 I had a book on edible gardening published and it was not a walk in the park, not by a long shot (even though it sold very well and is still a best seller on Amazon!). A great cookbook isn't just a collection of recipes - you can go on Pinterest for that - a great cookbook is a sensual experience that combines evocative text with enticing photography and solid book design.
Are you even a cook? Is your food good? Even food for weight loss needs to be delicious and have an appeal - and I'm sorry - looking at pages and pages of just meat is NOT appealing. Any cook will tell you you need more variety for your palate. Any wholistic nutritionist would tell you you need more variety to get basic nutritional needs covered. And any designer would tell you that you need more variety so that your book will look good, because eye candy is what turns pages when it comes to food.
If you are really serious about this, I suggest that you start off by blogging first. Get yourself a simple Wordpress theme, and do a post every day - a recipe, a story about that recipe, and some nice photos of the preparation (mise en place / cooking / plating). If you can do that every day for 100 days, you should come back and ask the same question. You'll either have a great product you can use to show publishers, or you'll have clear evidence that it isn't a good idea for you.
i'd LOVE it! i follow a pretty low carb diet but not keto. i'd still be interested in the meat recipes since i cook meat every day. desserts would be really tough though. i don't use sweeteners like swerve or stevia.
