Self explanatory question here: specifically I am concerned about cheese and canned tuna: they contain industrial salt, does all industrial salt(and hence the foodstuffs) contain aluminum(or some gaseous form thereof)? Is aluminum, moreover, as great a concern as advertised regarding alzheimer's etc.?

the Aluminum-Alzheimer's link has been pretty well debunked. http://alzheimers.org.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=99

there are more important things to worry about avoiding.

I really have no idea, but we are against added everything around here, so why not be against added salt too. You can get the necessary iodine content for see kelp and fish consumption. So if you have a choice, avoid it. If you don't, then I guess the the question is mute.

I think aluminum is only used a caking agent in some salts.

If you can't: are you acquainted with whether it (ie. industrial salt) is not a presence in the ho-hum store-bought variety? – PersonMan Jul 23 2011 at 22:10
