This is aphoristic, so take it for what it's worth as entertainment....coffee has this effect on me....
PIS (Aka Paleo Ingestive Scheme) could be said to be a food pyramid scheme having 10 servings of meat for a base. By contrast S_D pyramid schemes (fill in the blank with the nation of your choice, from A to Z they're all the same) have 10 servings of simple processed carbs forming their bases.
So is the PIS pyramid paleo? I would contend that it is not, but could be. If the base consists of a diet of meat derived from Neolithic animals, it is Neolithic. These animals were bred for work and secondary products (eggs, milk, skin, etc.), and eating them is a very high level Neolithic activity. On the other hand, PIS could be paleo if the diet consisted of wild squirrels and mollusks other than oysters.
Or maybe I'm just PISsy this morning.
