Just curious as to other peoples results on paleo. How long have you been on paleo? And how much have you lost? Also a good motivator for people like myself who are just starting out, and for anyone else who reads this. Thanx :-)

4months down with 15kg of fat loss. I'm now doing crossfit which has stalled the weightloss, but I'm gaining muscle fast. I'm pretty clean - with occasional rice, milk, yogurt, wine, scotch ;) Okay now I think about it not as clean as I should be - but I feel great and in hitting all my goals one by one. |

I don't know how long exactly... several months. The change in diet was gradual; basically a phase-out of grains and sugar and a phase-in of meat. I've been gluten-free for about a year, and was a long-time vegetarian, so I didn't come from the SAD. Maybe that's why my weight is unchanged. I'd like to lose 20+ lbs, even though that's not my reason for eating this way. I'm 5'6", holding rock-steady at 150lbs. goddammit. VLC didn't even make a dent.* I generally don't count calories - i loathe tracking, and restriction makes we want to binge. I think I average 1800-2000 kcal/day, give or take a couple hundred? I haven't experienced that "never hungry" thing people talk about. But, I don't get that shitty hypoglycemic STARVING feeling anymore, which is a bonus. I don't work out, but I'm gonna....tomorrow. ha *this seems unusual. |

7 months, not actually trying to lose (no conscious carb or anything else restriction), lost ~30lbs. But I'm breastfeeding a baby, so that complicates that matter a little. |

I went paleo last Sept as part of an 8-week challenge at my gym. I'm 5'5", and I was 164, 40% body fat. Ugh! I joined the challenge because my son (my second C-section) was almost 1 1/2 and I was not "getting my body back" despite severely restricting calories and killing myself at the gym. I lost 18 lbs in the first eight weeks, and I've stabilized at about 140 now, and high 20s for bodyfat (not sure, it's been a while). I'm currently reading the Primal Blueprint, because I can tolerate dairy, and I can easily find good cheese made from raw, grassfed milk - yum! I work out a lot less and eat a lot more and I feel really good. It's amazing. |

I've been on Paleo since October 2009, so almost two years. I switched from vegetarian/raw-vegan and have lost 27# overall and 9 more inches in just the past 3 months. My acne disappeared, intestinal problems are gone, and energy is through the roof! I love that "food can do all that". |

I've only lost 5-6 pounds (didn't need to loose anything except for vanity reasons). However I have lost a size and a half in clothes from a combination of primal diet and crossfit and I feel great. |

In 2009, when I first started Paleo I didn't lose any weight. 5'8" - 125lbs. On and off the Paleo wagon until January 2011. At that point, I had a 3 month old with 30lbs to lose (gained 60lbs during my pregnancy). Lost the 30lbs the week my baby turned 6 months, Went back to SAD - gained 10lbs in 2 months. Back to Paleo and back to 125lbs! |

Paleo with rare dairy treats since Sept 13 2010. Starting weight 127kg, current weight 86kg. Heaps of other health benifits outside of weightloss as well , lower BP, lower resting heart rate, better sleep, less alergies, clearer sinuses. I would still like to lose more, and I am - slowly, but Im at a poit where my health is great and Im very happy. Its also great to feel no desire to eat crap food anymore. The sense of control and disipline is flowing into other areas of my life. I wish I had found paleo in my twenties, I can't help but think paleo+youth+positive attitute=unstoppable force lol. |

60lbs (27.2kg) in eight months, from 228lbs (103.4kg) at the start of the year to 168lbs (76.2kg) today. I was 80% Primal in January, 100% Primal from February to July and then 100% Paleo from July until now. More importantly than the weight loss, my waist measurement has gone from 41" to 32", my resting heart rate from 68 to 43 beats per minute and my IBS has virtually disappeared. In addition to the diet, I've become a runner (completed my first half marathon on Sunday in 1:47:20) and I'm now looking ahead to becoming a triathlete in 2013. |

10 months. Maybe 10-15lbs (from around 130 to 115-117) but gained muscle and have better body composition. Went from never working out to lifting weights and circuit training 4-5x a week. Went on Paleo as I was on the search for a permanent healthy lifestyle change. Small investment, great return :) |

Today, I'm about 75/25 Primal/WAPF respectively, and as gluten free as I can control (I work in a coffeeshop/bakery. I inhale.). I've been gluten free for about a year, and Primal/WAPF for about 6 months. I haven't lost any weight, but that wasn't my aim. I lost 30 lbs through a whole food, low-calorie approach three years ago, so I'm already at a healthy weight/BF%. But about a year ago I was diagnosed with mild PCOS and gluten intolerance. I adopted a gluten-free/higher-protein/lower-carb diet and at the point I started teaching Zumba everything sort of fit into place and my cycles started coming like clockwork for the first time in my life. I've adopted more and more "paleo" ideals since then (I adhere to ideals better when I more slowly adapt to them), and I can't say I've experienced much added benefit since the change a year ago, but not all health improvements are visible to the naked eye. But in a year, I've also experienced far fewer sugar/carb cravings, I'm not hungry all the time, I actually ovulate at reasonable points in my cycles, and they've become regular, I have FAR fewer headaches, I have more energy, and I actually gained back 88% of the libido that disappeared after spending 6 months on the pill three years ago. I'm less irritable and moody, and I no longer have chronic sinus infections. Plus, my skin is clear. That says a lot for a girl who started getting acne in 4th grade. |

A little over one year, and no weight change really, though my body fat % has decreased a bit. I was already lean to begin with, and weighed around 100lbs. I started eating paleo and IF to help with energy during workouts and cravings. I still weigh around 100 lbs, but I definitely see more muscle definition than before. |

19 year old male, 6'1, 175 pounds, I'm 9 months in, 55 pounds down, and I've doubled most of my lifts. On top of that, I've never felt as healthy and energetic as I do now, and I've been in a place where it hasn't been work for a long time, it's just been eating. Good luck! Welcome to the paleo lifestyle and good luck! We're all here if you need any help. |
