I've only been doing paleo for about a month now and I can't find anything to fix for breakfast. Im super allergic to eggs. So what are some other things I could eat for breakfast? Also before going paleo I was a serious baker and now I'm craving baked goods so what can I do to stop the cravings? Ps I currently eat nothing for breakfast..I just wait till lunch.

You could saute up some cabbage, apples, and some sort of meat... Another option would be some pureed squash (like acorn or butternut), warmed up and eaten like a porridge... The site Dessertstalker.com also has a lot of ideas that might work for you, like these "paleo" waffles...

I generally feel better when I eat meat and veggies or a salad as my first meal (be it breakfast or lunch) but if I do eat something else for breakfast, it'll be either greek yogurt with nuts and berries or something like this recipe: 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix) 1/2 cup powdered, unsweetened, dessicated coconut 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/8 tsp cloves 1/8 tsp salt 1/4 cup raisins (not packed) 1/4 cup walnuts 1/4 cup flaked, unsweetened coconut (optional, for garnish) mix together and bake at 400 for an hour. (from a MDA post) it's kind of a gushy pumpkin-y mixture, but will kind of act like toast if you broil it for a few minutes. |

have you tried adapting some of the popular primal recipes to fit your needs? You can try putting in homemade applesauce for eggs, coconut oil and or nut butters will also add moisture. Also try: 2 flax “eggs” = 2 tbsp ground flax seeds + 5 tbsp hot water, soak 3 minutes! You might need something to 'set' things like an arrowroot powder or baking powder. Breakfast ideas could include: strained yogurt (like greek yogurt) with some berries and coconut flake and nut flakes. some kind of attempt at a pancake or waffle w/o eggs (again adapting recipes) how about some sort of nut bar you make yourself (adapt another recipe for a 'lara' type bar) |

Ok, that is terrible and we must fix this right quick. I don't know if you are on a gaining path like me, carbs!, or a losing path, low carb!, if dairy is ok with you, etc. Just make sure to read all the labels on the dairy to make sure there aren't any hidden stabilizers and such. I'm just going to give a random list, maybe there will be some things you like:
All of these are adaptable to just mix, match, omit an ingredient, so you can get a fairly wide-variety to keep your belly happy for a while. You can still make baked goods! I found this for you: http://paleofood.com/baked.htm I read through and there are items that are sans eggs. Good luck and I hope some of these work for you - happy breakfasting AND baking :) |

I've been totally rethinking what I eat for breakfast lately. I got really sick of eggs and was eating a crapload of bacon and needed a change. Now I eat whatever I feel like having: a hamburger, leftover roast or steak, a can of tuna, etc. There's no need to eat what we think we're supposed to eat for breakfast! I haven't ventured into baking yet...I'm scared what that would lead to! Good luck! ETA: I just realized I didn't read the baking part of your question well. I think finding other things to do is the best way to combat cravings. Go for a walk, play a game, call a friend, etc. |

Usually I just eat leftovers for breakfast, but sometimes I whip up a big batch of sausage patties, cook them, and then put them in the freezer for a quick breakfast. If you are really jonesing for baked goods, what about some sort of flourless coconut bar? |

My wife likes greek yougurt and berries for breakfast often, maybe with a cheese stick. can't help with the baking. I agree with somebody else up there, a leftover burger, a hunk of meat, whatever is leftover in the fridge, I do not feel the need to eat "breakfast" foods |
