I am beginning to play around with sporadic intermittent fasting and I am trying to figure out when would be the best time to do it. I am a extremely active 26y/o male, training at varrying intensities, from a 10 minute METCONs to a 3 hour LSD trail runs, 6 days a week, on a normal week. After a workout, I will typically have a cup of black coffee, 4 eggs scrambled with a variety of vegitables and a bannana. Some days, due to work, I am forced to miss a workout.

Would it be better/detrimental/not make a differnce, to conduct an IF on days that I will not have a workout? I often feel the need to eat after a strenuous workout, so if I am not working out, I figure it would be a good time to conduct my fast.

Is this poor logic?

Thanks in advance!

I always advocate NOT planning IF. If you get busy or are not hungry, then go ahead and skip a meal. I think it's counterproductive to be planning IF around workouts.

I know A LOT of people focus on working out at the end of a fast and your post workout meal being what actually breaks the fast. I don't know if I could workout fasted but like I said a lot of people swear by it. leangains.com has a lot of information about working out and IF that you should check out.
