What herbs and spices do you find most nutritious/beneficial to health? I have been sticking with turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, cayenne, ginger... what would you recommend to include that helps to scavenge estrogen, boost testosterone, increase mental cogency, energizes, etc. The works! I want to be the UBERMENSCH amongst the ubermenscheit paleos!

I'm currently on a big cumin kick. It dominates anything I put it in and marks daily apple just has a great article about the benefits of it: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/cumin/ I recommend it in eggs or as a dry rub on meats. |

For increasing free testosterone, you could try stinging nettle root. I don't know what it tastes like, but it's available as a supplement in capsules. (I currently take cayenne and cinnamon in capsules since I don't always want the flavor of a whole gram of them.) Given your goals, maca is almost certainly worth looking into, and it does taste great (especially in combination with raw cacao powder); so get the powder instead of the capsuled extract. Put a tablespoon in your smoothies, or just in water, or make paleo desserts with it. Taste-wise, my favorite herb-spice combination is sumac, thyme, and oregano (with sea salt and olive oil). It's so good, I'll even eat bread that's loaded with it (albeit wheat-less sourdough). And it does have decent antioxidant and antimicrobial value. |

Flavour of turmeric amazing- but recently read it can suppress liver phase1-then in turn phase2. |
