Do you think the elimination of pastured butter during the Whole 30 is imperative?

I am a giant butter fiend, and it surprisingly wasn't too tough to elminate during my Whole30. I used some lard & tallow (pastured) and coconut or avocado oils for cooking, drizzled olive oil on cooked veggies. |

i think it is if you want to see how you react to dairy. ghee is a way to get the butter flavor without the milk solids. but, why bother doing a WHole30 if youre going to break the rules from the get-go? just, do a super-clean paleo with butter. |

Yes. But that's only because that what the program calls for. If you want to eat butter or something that's not within the program, why do it? Just do 30 days of custom paleo and don't call it a Whole 30. |
