All of the below will work in a blender as a smoothie - or freeze up as an ice cream, sorbet, etc., if you make too much and don't want to toss the rest OR want to multi-task and make a bigger recipe. Just add ice and/or chunk up and freeze the fruit before using. They're good - pinky swear! :) Green tea, mango, goat milk Strawberry, or mixed berries, lemon, mint, cow milk Almond butter, coconut, cocoa, coconut milk - sometimes I add a banana Broil pineapple and puree with coconut, fresh ginger, coconut milk Banana, cashew butter, cow milk - I add a little lemon juice Avocado, lime juice, honeydew melon, cow milk or coconut water This one I found on the intertubes about a month ago and it's tasty: 1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk, 1-1/2 Scoops Chocolate Whey Protein Powder, 1/2 Cup Peeled, Cooked Sweet Potato, 1/2 Large, Peeled, Banana, Small Pinch of Sea Salt, Handful of Ice |

Wish I could help you there. I just eat whole foods and don't blend them. When I did MRP shakes they were whey, milk, and bananas...not really a paleo shake. If I want something quick because I'm in a hurry and need food, I keep little baggies of nuts and dried fruit premade and just grab one of those. Add some jerky and voila - instant paleo fast food. |

Lately my smoothie has been: -a couple chunks of frozen placenta (I'm realizing I could possibly substitute liver when the placenta runs out) -raw egg -frozen berries -coconut water -couple tablespoons of coconut oil -1/2 a banana |

Coconut milk/butter or water, half a banana, handful of spinach, handful of frozen blackberries, 1/2 avocado, spoonful of each: maca powder, raw cacao, hemp seeds. That's generally my breakfast. I'll throw in other things too like a carrot, ginger, etc |

2 big scoops of coconut oil, cup frozen wild maine organic blueberries, 1/4 avocado, 1 frozen banana, lettuce leaves or spinach, any other fresh fruits I have around, some water and ice. Blend up nice and cold and thick! Will last me many many hours. I mostly eat 2 meals a day and if I have this in the morning I usually last till a nice big meaty dinner!! Have lost 15lbs +/- since starting Paleo in May 2012. Feeling great! |

I often have a breakfast smoothie simply because they are so delicious. My go to recipe is; 200ml coconut milk, frozen banana, a tablespoon of cacao, scoop of protein powder & some frozen blueberries. If I feel I need a bit more I add some maca powder, bee pollen and tsp honey! Oh so good & easy :) |

I usually do a banana/strawberry/blueberry mix with vanilla whey powder and almond/coconut blend milk. Have also used peaches.....frozen blackraspberries turn out YUMMY. If your blender isn't good, it's hard to make, but it tastes like sorbet. Also made one using just chocolate whey, almond/coconut blend milk, and ice today. Needed that baddddddddddly. |

I love breakfast smoothies! I have a coconut-banana base to which I add other flavorings. My base: -Frozen banana chunks or one small fresh banana (very ripe) -Coconut milk (Full fat or light, whatever I have on hand) -Avocado -Tofu (not strictly paleo, but it's a nice creamy source of non-dairy protein with no carbs) -Ground flax seeds and flax oil -Vanilla Extract -Agave or other sweetener if necessary Additions to base: -Blueberries and fresh-squeezed lemon juice -Cocoa powder and cold coffee (tastes like dessert!) -Cocoa powder and almond butter (also tastes like dessert!) -strawberries -pineapple and coconut extract (high-sugar, but tastes like a tropical vacation) -stone fruit such as peaches, nectarines, or apricots The number one best tip in making a smoothie: taste it before you pour it out of the blender. |
