It's hard to pick a fave (here is his list of podcasts related to #AHS11, here's the full archive).

But if I had to pick, I'd vote for the podcasts with Stephan Guyenet, Kurt Harris, Paul Jaminet, Emily Deans, Chris Kresser, and Chris Masterjohn for sure. But one of my most recent faves was with Jenny Ruhl; gosh, she knows her stuff re blood sugar!

Jenny is da bomb! I love that woman. She knows her stuff and doesn't back down. – Shari Bambino Aug 12 2011 at 22:37
Thanks so much for the AHS11 list, I can't wait to start going through those! I'm hooked on Kurt Harris after hearing him on the podcast and can't wait to listen to the Guyenet one. Great suggestions! – Nutritionator Aug 12 2011 at 22:44

Ron Rosedale - health, rants against big pharma, paradigm shifts. I have a crush on that guy!

Yep.. Rosedale is the guy the for me! He has been right on from the start over 15 yrs ago, and most of the early low-carbers are changing their story to follow his. The Eades started with high protein, and then partnered with Rosedale and later switched to a moderate protein and high fat. Atkins later shifted in his later books to follow Rosedale. The only one that has been consistant with the true science about Insulin and later leptin revealing a higher fat, moderate fat, low (non-fiber) carb diet as the healthiest is the man himself.. Dr. Rosedale, way before others took it as their own. He was almost a generation too early, such that many people have forgotton or don't even know of his ground-breaking research and thoughts. You can read "Insulin and it's Metabolic Effects", a talk of Rosedale's recorded by a participant, transcribed, and posted all over the internet, that laid the foundation for most everyone that followed. It is really the grandaddy of all insulin talks, that is just as true and current today as it was over a decade ago.

Thanks so much for the link, very interesting stuff and you're right, he was way ahead of his time but should be happy the direction things are going with the Paleo movement today! – Nutritionator Aug 13 2011 at 13:04

He's been on here as well. Search for the threads under his name. Good stuff. – none Aug 13 2011 at 13:13

Excellent link. Dr. Rosedale should certainly be invited to the next Ancestral Symposium. – Namby Pamby Aug 13 2011 at 18:14
Only disagreement me and rose dale have is on protein levels in the face of low inflammation......I think the answer will be known in fifteen years when human calorie restriction studies are complete. The primate ones have been a mixed bag. I also think the more active one is as you age the more protein you can handle. They key to aging though is living off fat and living in ketosis......I just think you need the protein for autophagy and body comp as stem cells get worn out. Open question no doubt. – The Quilt Aug 13 2011 at 20:00

Been a follower of this site for awhile. It's really great, I've picked up a lot of good info.

I mean I've been a follower of Paleohacks...NOT 30 Bad! Yikes. – Chrissy V Aug 13 2011 at 13:18
900g of carbs a day and he's a vegan, I'll be saving this one for a day when I'm feeling very calm...or maybe I'll listen to it before a workout for some extra fuel ;) – Nutritionator Aug 13 2011 at 20:06

  1. I always enjoy Sally Fallon but that was awhile back.
  2. I second the Kurt Harris. I especially like it when he curses.
  3. However, if you have not listened to Paolo Costa from Italy talk about Paleo vs. Mediterranean diet then do. It is great. He's passionate, humble and my favorite flavor of conspiracy theorist. I laughed many times. It's on the back end of the Dr. Steve Parker Episode 489 from July 25.

*Note=If you're new to paleo check out Jimmy's podcasts and listen to as many as you can. They sustained me through my first months like a friend to keep me going. Also, he has all the paleo greats on there so the information is invaluable.

I'm completely hooked on Jimmy Moore, I've listened to all 92 of Robb Wolf's podcasts, all of Chris Kesser's and I really enjoy the Everyday Paleo episodes too. I'll be starting at number 1 soon here but I'm going through all my favorite Paleo proponents first. – Nutritionator Aug 13 2011 at 20:03
Dang, nutritionator, you earned your name – The Loon Aug 13 2011 at 21:27
I appreciated it too... Thanks a lot for your comment! :-) – Paolo Costa Aug 15 2011 at 16:33
Yay!!! Paolo! Let us know when you start your own podcast. Thank you for your endearing perspective. – BaconHealsChic Aug 16 2011 at 4:11
