I should qualify it...Paleo low carb, No grains, or sugars. No fruit except a small amount of berries. – wildthing Aug 16 2011 at 3:48

Low carb is definitely effective in weight loss. My general view is that low carb breaks down to an easier way to avoid neolithic agents of disease.

I eat around 150 grams of carbs a day.

Michael RB can i ask how long you have been doing paleo and your results? – GTS350 Aug 16 2011 at 3:13
Sure, I have been toying with paleo since 2006 and have been relatively strict lacto paleo since December. I am in the best shape of my life. I lost weight quickly until I got ( a little lighter than) to my goals. My view is that carbs are needed to fuel performance. If you are working out, you need more carbs (especially post workout). I found it easier to lose weight in the 50g or so range, but needed more carbs post workout to keep increasing the weight in my workouts – Michael RB Aug 16 2011 at 7:41

I average around 70 g per day and have lost 15 lbs. over the last 2 1/2 months.
