The best deal I've come across lately is a local grass-fed pasture-raised beef farmer I found is selling amazingly delicious beef shank for only $2/lb because most people don't know what to do with it so he realized he had to pretty much give it away to get rid of it. I am a verrrry willing recipient of this windfall of cheap grassfed beef! I am tempted to get another freezer to stock up on this before others figure out what's going on and want in! |

I recently inquired with the grass fed beef guy at the local farmer's market as to whether or not he had bones for beef broth... He gave me a bag! Yay! |

Making coconut milk out of unsweetened shredded coconut has cut our coconut milk costs at least in half. Eggs from local farms for $1-$3 a dozen. Planting zucchinis and squash - overwhelming payoff, without a whole lot of effort or monetary investment. |
