I'm researching food dehydrators right now, and one offers a "jerky gun" as an accessory, but no description is listed of this mysterious device. It looks a little like a caulking gun.

I got one with mine, it is as you say. Works with ground meat. I used it once found it a PITA to clean and sent it to the kitchen gadget oblivion cabinet. – Scott Aug 20 2011 at 23:05

Yep. It's an extruder so you can use ground meat instead of whole muscle to make jerky. I don't like that kind but if you do the gun is a fabulous accessory to have. – Shari Bambino Aug 20 2011 at 15:38
