I was curious after the Tucker Max lecture what relevance violence and fighting really had/has for women. In terms of evolution, in terms of reaping any sort of emotional/mental benefit from it... I mean, aside from the obvious... But some of the things he touched on seemed tied to the male...ness. While I can appreciate that women will be improved physically and will gain the ability to defend themselves, does learning a martial art have the same effect on women as he's claiming it has on men? The way he talked about it, it's like it fills a void in men, but it's not a void I can empathize with, and I don't think I'm unique in that sense. |
