It's very hot here sometimes, and as I'm VLC I eat tons of fat. It's not always a lot of fun to eat outside and watching my coconut oil melt. Melted coconut oil tastes horrible for some reason.
That's why I drink
aloe vera juice (does anyone else do that) and tons of water. I was just wondering if you have more creative foods/drinks to survive the hot weather.
When I'm doing ZC/VLC, I usually end up eating a lot of tuna salad and egg salad (with homemade macadamia oil mayo). Cool, refreshing, and wrapped in a crisp lettuce leaf, you can't beat it!
Cucumber salad, sushi (go for the fatty tuna), and unsweetened mojitos can get me through pretty much any heat wave.
Dill pickles, oh well, we really have not much heat waves in the north. :(
I'm kind of boring in the drinks department. Water, water and more water in hot weather. As far as foods though, I don't think anything beats fruit. One of favorite treats it to throw some frozen fruit into the food processor with some Greek yogurt. Yum!
Have your coconut oil as a coconut milk/ice slushy.
