So I found this question -- http://paleohacks.com/questions/6411/its-swell-what-is-inflammation#axzz1WTB1vbe8 -- that goes into the biochemistry of what inflammation IS, but I want to know what it DOES. How does it manifest itself? How do I know if I'm experiencing it? When people say they need to reduce inflammation, what particular physical changes are they looking for?
What I truly want to know is -- Can I blame it for my having gained belly flab since starting paleo 3.5 months ago?
UPDATE: I've found that occasionally when I wake up, my whole midsection is tight, as though I did a ton of crunches the night before. I haven't been able to link it to any particular workout or food, though. I can't even figure out if it's all muscular or not? Could this be inflammation?
