I'm trying to find a article or blog post that I can link to that clearly explains why artificial ingredients are avoided on a Paleo diet. I have searched MDA, Whole9, Robb Woff but I'm coming up empty. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

you really looked that hard and came up with nothing? – JayJay Sep 3 2011 at 1:20
Yeah, I really did Jay. I have found plenty of references that say avoid them, and some addressing specific ingredients, but none that support and explain the broad stroke (with clear scientific evidence) why artificial ingredients should always be avoided. I personally avoid them, but was looking for an article to share with other that might question that position. – Patty Sep 4 2011 at 19:16

The author of this book is not exactly paleo, she is more Weston A Price than paleo, but her book probably has most of the info you are looking for. Her book is called Death By Supermarket.

This video also has some good info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC20OoIgG_Y

Nice vid by SG. Not sure why that last picture showed bananas and broccoli on the modern industrial diet side, but otherwise a good 15 minute look at a broad range of 100-year food consumption statistics. – Invisible Caveman Mar 10 2012 at 5:44
