I know it's supposed to be carcinogenic but something about slightly charred meat fulfills me. |

The taste of my home made salsa is beyond describing, it is subtle, not over-powering. |

It's all about simplicity. Bone marrow and the jiggly stuff that dribbles off hamburger when you grill it. Garden tomatoes. Don't even bother with the ones in the grocery store. Fizzy kombucha. Pastured butter, sliced paper thin and eaten on its own. Frozen banana chunks. |

I have always been a fan of a simple classic tomato sauce with onion, peeled tomatoes, garlic, chili pepper, basil and oregano, but now I eat it even more. In fact, I think I'm about to make some today, as thinking about it made me long for it. I also love a (cold) tuna mix, which is basically some canned tuna, mayo,a shallot, some garlic, hot peppers, some anchovies, a pickle and a tomato (and some Ketjap from time to time as well, not sure whether that is paleo or not). Next to this I discovered guacamole (avocado, garlic, chili pepper, tomato, shallot, lime-/lemon juice, and optionally some anchovies here as well). Hmmz, looks like I use a lot of garlic & chili pepper (I use pepper paste actually, it's a lot easier/faster to use). And finally: some bacon or sausages with mushrooms and eggs... Delicious !!! |
