Anybody know what happened to Kurt Harris? He hasn't posted in over a month and he even turned off his comment section.

I saw him at Dunkin Donuts yesterday. He was eating a jelly donut and talking about starting a blog about all-donut diets. ;) But seriously....where are you Kurt? I bet he is huntin or something. – Bread-Eating Beelzebub Jun 21 2010 at 0:14
He was very selective as to you can post which is a shame - I enjoyed reading him in the past but don't go there much anymore either. I'm sure he has a busy professional life so I don't mind that- I only wish he remove those hunting pictures- he doesn't look like a 'hunter' – pjnoir Jun 21 2010 at 2:56

I REALLY wish he would put up the "what to eat if you get cancer" post he promised a while ago. Not that I have cancer (that I know of) but I was really looking forward to sending that around to friends and family for educational purposes. Hope he comes back soon. – JJ Jun 21 2010 at 14:13

He's probably just living his life. From his blog:

"I am currently a practicing board-certified radiologist, a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and I am founder and medical director of an independent imaging center."

He's got other stuff to do than just amuse us.

No one is suggesting he exists for our amusement. I don't find anything amusing about this lifestyle. His sight is one of the most informative that I have seen. He was my introduction to high-fat, low-carb eating, and is the model I most identify with. He's been a very important person in my life. My main concern was that all is well and that he'll be back one day....hopefully with a killer book. Oh, and Kurt DECIDED to make a website. Nobody forced him to do it. Don't act like he's a victim of persecution. – RLR Jun 21 2010 at 17:05
I meant amuse in the sense of giving us something to read, not amuse in the sense that we laugh at him. I respect him a great deal and am grateful for his writing. Why ever would you think I am suggesting he is persecuted? All I'm saying is he's probably just busy. – Ambimorph Jun 21 2010 at 22:18

Actually though I only started reading Paleonu about 5 months ago, I'm nowhere near complete on all the entries. So I'll just keep reading (and clicking the links!) for another couple of months yet.

From what I heard, Kurt is busy working on his book.

Word ? On nutrition I hope ? – Ikco Jun 21 2010 at 8:07
Yep. On Paleo. – Patrik Jun 21 2010 at 18:06
That's good news. Along with Wolf, Sisson, LaLonde and a couple others, "Kurt" has been a huge inspiration to me in my now month-long paleo lifestyle endeavor. – MichaelH Oct 20 2010 at 23:46

I've been missing his site too - learned a lot from it and I used to look forward to the regular updates.

ill just echo the praise for him. I started following his blog like prolly two months before he stalled so im particularly bummed. Still a great source of info, though. he was very thorough bout replying to people, etc. I think the Mike Eades' blog is the closest in feel. Come back, Kurt! (or, well, finish that book! i suppose)
