I have suffered with Psoriasis since I was 27, now 43. It is now moving from my elbows to my hands, feet, knees and face. I am willing to try anything to make it better. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried tanning. You don't need much exposure to make a big difference. We own a tanning salon and have many customers that were referred by their Dr's.to get some short exposures. It makes a huge difference . |

Vitamin D is said to reduce proliferation of keratinocites (info: vitamindcouncil). Some people claim that 5g DHA from fish oil makes a huge difference. You may want to try that, but that is very big amount, you need special kind of fish oil. If that is true, it all points to chronic infection to be honest. D is main stuff in immune response, and DHA is probably used as COX inhibitor. |

I feel your pain, I am still searching, like others I notice flare ups (mine is scalp psoriasis) with dairy, sugar and STRESS! Which is hard to get a handle on, I'm trying strict auto immune (no grains AT ALL,no nuts, no eggs, no dairy & no nightshades) to see if I can get a handle on this beast. So annoying. |

A strict paleo diet plus vitamin D (be it from the sun or a pill) for the first three months would be my first suggestion. Then, reintroduce other foods carefully, (only if you wish) after the three-month period, depending on response. |

Can you give us more information? What do you eat? What have you tried? Everyone is so different...I used to get eczema, but through self experimentation, I have found that eating a very clean dairy free paleo diet , and avoiding chocolate completely leaves me free of flair ups. Generally, people seem to have skin conditions resolve when offending foods are avoided, and gut health is improved. |

Start taking between 2000 and 6000 iu of vitamin d3 if you aren't already. Or even better get your levels checked and see for definite how much you should be taking. I hear topical vitamin d can also work well. |

Vitamin D, topic solution will reduce turn over rate of keratinocytes. Some people claim that 5g DHA makes a huge difference. You may want to try that. |
