Can anyone recommend a good doc in S. Fl that is functional? Hormonal help is what I am seeking but trying to steer clear of quacks. I already checked out the physicians registry but didn't find much. Thanks

Read your profile. Welcome to the "Broken Club". Where in Florida do you live? I've got some contacts in St. Pete. One is worth traveling for , the others probably not.

Shah - I would be interested in the St Pete info. You can list it here or contact me off list at myaltid at gmail if you want. Thanks, – JCB Sep 26 2011 at 18:45
Shah, funny, I just read your profile and if you were a girl you sound like you would probably have my same issues. :) I am right on the Broward County/Palm Beach line. At this point If I felt confident abou the doc I would drive anywhere. There is a holistic endocrinologist (Dr. Woliner) here but he charges about $1000 right off the bat. And then a 45min. follow up for $450???????? I am all for paying a good doc but not without references/patient feedback. – Flip Sep 26 2011 at 22:04

Yes! Dr. Joel Ying http://www.joyhealthwellness.com in Naples.

David Perlmutter author of Power Up Your Brain, has a clinic in Naples. When I met him last week he had just ordered Nora Gedgaudas' PrimalBody-PrimalMind....very straightforward and awakened man.

If I lived in South Florida, I would seek out Dr. Ken Tourgeman in Fort Lauderdale. He is a Nephrologist who is totally paleo. This is one of his best entries. There are many.

He hasn't posted recently but I still go back and read a lot of his postings over the years.

Thank you! I will check him out but being he specializes in nephrology I wonder how much endocrine stuff he can help with. It won't hurt to inquire and I will. :) – Flip Sep 27 2011 at 20:22
