I like butter oil because it keeps my lips from being dry and chapped. However, I am extremely sensitive to dairy products and get acne from butter oil. So, is there a substitute for butter oil?

i've recently switched off of chapstick to using propolis lip balm ( a free sample I procured). Ingredients list says almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, propolis extract, and grapefruit oil. I may just switch over to coconut oil after this thing runs out...how do you all not just eat the stuff straight off your skin?! I can't get enough of it! |

I use olive oil and castor oil, as well as coconut oil. You can melt a tiny bit of raw beeswax and mix in whatever oils you like, with a couple of drop of Vitamin E. Makes a nice salve for lips, cuticles, elbows, heels, etc. Jojoba oil is nice, too. Some like shea butter. Others have unpleasant reactions to it. |
