Hi all, someone on a local WAPF list asked this and no one has replied, but I'm really curious as well:

I like to use vinegar to clean but realized since the cheap stuff is made from corn that I am cleaning with GMO's. Does anyone know what happens in a situation like this?

Thanks!

are you asking if the GMO vinegar leaves residue or fumes that are toxic? – mth Oct 1 2011 at 11:20

White vinegar is fairly purified, and the process and acidity are likely enough to ensure that any GM proteins left are pretty much destroyed, if you're afraid of GMOs.

White vinegar is distilled. It's just 5% acetic acid in water.
