If muscle injuries cause inflammation would that show up on a CRP test?

any links to papers would be greatly appreciated too!

My doctor certainly thinks so; she gave me a nice little speech about how the CRP test can indicate anything from cancer and heart disease to a blister on your toe. Without detailed supporting information, it really can't be specifically interpreted (she's not a huge fan of their indiscriminate use, obviously). – Rose Oct 1 2011 at 22:24

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-reactive_protein I would certainly bet on it. I'm sorry you have an Owie.

Absolutely. C Reactive Protein is basically a measure of inflammation in your body. Any injury will cause it to elevate.
