I went in for a typical physical and discovered I have Hep A. On the plus side that explains the "migraines" that didn't respond to the meds or hurt in the usual places the weekend before.

I know it should clear itself, but in the meantime I want to be as comfortable as possible. I have been on bone broth and juiced veggies. I am not sure if this is the best method, but it seems to help.

Is there anything else you would suggest?

Vitamin C megadoses for hepatitis. For migraines Mg supplementation. You could try both intevenously (MgSulfate, Sodium Ascorbate) if you are really in pain. Both will reduce sympthoms 100%.

== EDIT ==

If you somehow decide to get intarvenous C keep in mind that you need to be tested for G6PD deficiency or it may harm you. But higher oral doses or lipospheric C might be enough.

The magnesium claim is based on this paper.

For vitamin C info see this paper (serch for hepatitis)

The migraines (other then this event) went away with gluten, but the Vit C totally seems doable! Thank you. – Vrimj Oct 13 2011 at 19:43

Just cause I have to ask... your sure it wasn't a false positive? Hep tests are very often false positives... My doctor told me I had Heb B and I was convinced of this till I put the pieces together, and it was a false positive. I am actually immune to it. How are your liver enzymes?

I have not checked my enzymes, but it should all be normal in six months anyway, but it is worth getting rechecked. – Vrimj Oct 13 2011 at 19:44

Defiitely start taking Milk Thistle. It will help your liver big time. My brother and I both had hepatitis a month apart. After he started taking it his doc was so impressed with his results he put all of his chronic hepatitis patients on it.
