Loren Cordain argues (without a citation) that the human genome has chagned only .02 percent in 40,0000 years. But other sources say that because of population growth, human genetics has changed much more rapidly in the last 5,000 years than the 2.5 million years before that. Another article that says "Evolutionary theorist Gregory Cochran and anthropologist John Hawks claim to have found evidence of a huge increase in the rate of human evolution in the more recent period of human evolution of the last 40,000 years... “The rate of generation of positively selected genes has increased as much as a hundredfold during the past 40,000 years,” they wrote.
