Bit of a frivolous question; but I found this interesting food porn piece on world breakfasts.

I'm with number one, but then I am English... :)

LOL at number 38. The said thing is, almost all of my relatives and friends eat these. For breakfast, for lunch, for dinner, as a snack, as a dessert...

I gotta admit, those pics make carbs seem very tasty :-(. All of them look delicious... but the ones with a lot of meat more so.

Ok, NOW I'm starving! So many of them look delicious -- especially the classics from England, Ireland, Scotland and Canada. But, right now, I'd go for Korean or Polish.

I would say English, Polish, with Korean too close to call... the Welsh one looks scary WHAT IS THAT? Hahahaha

Looks like toasted bread and cheese. – jess6 Oct 20 2011 at 14:59

The Welsh one is rarebit. It's actually pretty delicious if you find someone who knows how to make it well. I think it's just toast with a cream/mustard sauce on it and cheese melted over the top. – trjones Oct 20 2011 at 15:02

Breakfast in Peru (30)! Also the Philippines (16), mangos for breakfast always!

Mmmmm I miss Peruvian ceviche. I don't remember eating that for breakfast, though I sure would! With some sweet potatoes, as in the pic, though I'd pass on the Inca Cola. I did one time get served left over birthday cake for breakfast by the family I was staying with. – Paleolady Oct 20 2011 at 18:40

Polish! German and Thai look pretty good, too. Oh, and I bet the Mexican one is damn tasty.

Once I loved vegemite on toast for breakfast (#6), these days I love steak.

The seafood fare from Peru looks special!

Must have been scraping the bottom of the jar to apply so little... Or am I the only one who applied it to toast with a trowel? – KiwiRed Oct 21 2011 at 10:24
Ha, yes, I was the same. I can still happily down it by the spoon full :) – Rhubarb Oct 21 2011 at 12:42

Aside from the Vegemite, all look rather tasty.
