My (paleo) nutritionist suggested I start taking aloe juice to help with constipation... Im on the leptin reset protocol right now. Not sure if its a no go, or a go.. or a go period.. Anyone use it?

Not sure if it's good on the Leptin Reset, but i use one by biometics called aloe plus and it works wonders in a time of serious constipation. However, i use it sparingly now (mainly when i travel or routine gets messed up) as it has a higher sugar count than others. i swear by that brand tho, so maybe after the leptin reset you could use it when really needed and watch your sugars otherwise. – Btrfly1783 Oct 30 2011 at 10:57
Didn't work for me. I have digestive troubles/constipation. Drank a ton of it. I think that it just fed the bacterial overgrowth I had and contributed to the constipation. – Senneth Oct 31 2011 at 22:53
Jack Kruse recommends it if you have leaky gut but not if you have Crohn's. As always he doesn't explain why though :) – Korion Feb 4 2012 at 14:42

Yes Aloe Vera juice is VERY helpful. I used to need it for heartburn before I learned the error of my ways and went Paleo. Very effective for that I know.

what particular brand do you use? I use one that i get from my colon hydrotherapist by biometics, but it's high on the sugar count so only use it when i really need it. However, it helps greatly w/ my regularity and have yet to find another brand that does the same. Thanks! – Btrfly1783 Oct 30 2011 at 10:56
