Okay, I just made my first batch of bone broth. How much should I drink per day? I was thinking 1-2 cups, between meals? I have IBS and I'm also a little underweight. Thanks.

I usually drink around a quart a day, I drink it like tea but I also put it in stews, soups, etc. Home made bone broth is like Ambrosia - Food of the Gods :) |

I would say that drinking at least a cup or two per day while aiming to heal your gut is a great idea...you will get easily digested nutrients that you've likely been missing out on for a long time, and hopefully, your body will feel really happy soon... |

My latest bone broth stew started with several marrow bones and a beef foot/ankle sliced lengthwise. I cooked it for 12 hours twice, with chilling cycles in between, which reduced it to a very thick broth and clean bones. I then added beef heart and skirt steak plus assorted veggies. I'm averaging about 2c per day of broth plus a large ladle of the stew. But really, I don't think there's any upper limit. |
