Okay, I just made my first batch of bone broth. How much should I drink per day? I was thinking 1-2 cups, between meals? I have IBS and I'm also a little underweight. Thanks.

How much would you like to drink? :) Some people have 1/2 a cup, some people just pop a cube of the "jello", some do what you're asking. I personally have 1-2c a day, depending on my mood, and drink like a tea. I also use it in my cooking so at times I'm probably triple time with the intake. IMO go with what you're thinking and amend based on how you're feeling after a week or two. – jesuisjuba - paleorepublic.com Nov 7 2011 at 13:45

I usually drink around a quart a day, I drink it like tea but I also put it in stews, soups, etc. Home made bone broth is like Ambrosia - Food of the Gods :)

I would say that drinking at least a cup or two per day while aiming to heal your gut is a great idea...you will get easily digested nutrients that you've likely been missing out on for a long time, and hopefully, your body will feel really happy soon...

My latest bone broth stew started with several marrow bones and a beef foot/ankle sliced lengthwise. I cooked it for 12 hours twice, with chilling cycles in between, which reduced it to a very thick broth and clean bones. I then added beef heart and skirt steak plus assorted veggies. I'm averaging about 2c per day of broth plus a large ladle of the stew.

But really, I don't think there's any upper limit.
