I heard some interesting info from Dr. Mercola as Weston Price's keynote speaker at Wise Traditions conference. He suggested that a person could tan their pits, and the UV would kill odor causing bacteria. So people could use either deodorant or sunbathe their pits. Any references, thoughts, or experiences with this.

If this were true, one would probably have to do this for, say, 10-30 mins several times/day. Wouldn't it be easier to simply hold hot charcoals in your armpits for 5 minutes several times/day and kill bacteria with heat? I suppose one could also shower, use hand sanitizer, or (THE HORROR) deodorant/antiperspirant. If there are deodorants out there mild and cruelty-free enough for the pasty, anemic cult-of-the-cuddly vegans who clot the aisles of Whole Paycheck, I'm sure there are versions amenable to a carnivorous beast like you. I've heard him say this as well, tried it, and didn't feel satisfied with the results...my 2 cents... |
