Can anyone recommend any paleo-friendly restaurants in London? I'm not really looking for 'paleo' in the restaurant's self-description, but someplace serving quality meat (i.e., it lived in a fairly natural environment -- grass-finished or wild, etc) and vegetables that aren't cooked in omega-6 heavy oils.

I've had good meals at Arbutus in the past. I suspect they use some vegetable oil and I can't tell much about the sourcing of their meat, but they have some good non-muscle animal parts like tripe and tasty, nutritionally dense veg like black kale.

For traditional English offal dishes try St John's. I had grass-fed steak when I went there.

Bon apetit ...

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I have been to St John once and it was very good. A bit expensive, but so is everything else in this city! I do wish they would back off the wheat a bit, but that is part of their thing. – Not James Nov 25 2011 at 22:09
I've just heard about this one: thehawksmoor.co.uk I haven't been there yet but might try it when I'm next up in town – panteleimon Nov 26 2011 at 14:03
I went to the Hawksmoor in Covent Garden a couple of weeks ago. Expensive, but best steak I've ever had. – James L Sep 25 at 10:10

I hang around Argentine Tango people so get to eat at some really good Argentine restaurants. Not 100% Paleo plates by default but some really quality meat.

Also give Roast a try. Again they'd never class themselves as Paleo but they do amazingly good meat. Their Breakfasts are also excellent.

They're located down by Borough market so you can pick up some great meat and veggies directly from the farmers while you're at it!

Check out www.evolveprimal.com. They are the first strict pre-made Paleo meal delivery company in the UK and the food is delicious. They deliver to the cross fit gyms in London but do home delivery aswell. Awesome food!

You can search on a smart restaurant search by some relate key words. Example: Fish, meat restaurants, or Restaurant in London. It allows for easily finding out all restaurants near your place or view details of a restaurant with telephone, location, photos, description and reviews from internet community about that restaurant.
