I didn't do a cleanse, I just started eating strict Paleo. I ate small amounts of fat, then more and more. Before Paleo I was not able to eat even just one egg, or even a couple nuts, I'd get gallbladder pain, plus I'd have to hurry to the bathroom with vomiting and diarrhea. After ditching grains and sugar, I haven't had problem again, I eat very well now. Fatty beef, fatty pork, 3 eggs cooked in bacon grease. It's a miracle... Hmm, ok, no, it's just science! :-) Thanks, Mom, for making me Paleo again. |

Most of the liver/gallbladder cleanses you see on the internet are nonsense. There are foods and nutrients out there that are good for your liver and bile, but sucking down a quart of olive oil is probably not going to do much good for anything. |

Friend: Hey, you are studying nutrition, what kind and brand of cleanse would you recommend? Me: Water bottle. But honestly, those cleanses are a grab at your wallet. Nothing that is a "fast fix" is going to have any lasting effects. All you can do is heal yourself, give it time, and try and enjoy the process! |

I had gallstones confirmed via ultrasound. I see a naturopath who gave me Stone Breaker by HerbPharm (chanca piedra). 2 bottles later, I had another ultrasound - my 12cm stone had reduced to 4cm, small enough to pass through the gallbladder neck. |
