So, what is wrong with having loose stools? I've had gut/elimination problems all my life, but when things are working (as they are now), I go daily, but it is generally loose. I take a Magnesium supplement, but changing the dosage doesn't help--that is, I go too low and things don't move, if things move, then they are loose.
However, I don't go more than once a day. I'm not losing excessive fluid or electrolytes, so I honestly wonder if there is anything wrong with this. It seems to me that regularity is more important than consistency, but maybe there is something I don't know?

I think you just need to introduce more fermented foods, and you should be able to get the consistency right too. Some ideas, that I practice myself, and that have fixed my GI problems: raw & unfiltered local honey, Yogi kombucha decaf tea, alive probiotic sauerkraut, home-made probiotic lactose-free goat yoghurt, and 1 pill of iFlora multi-probiotic before bed.
if they are really loose, that could mean that they are moving too fast and your bowels won't have the chance to absorb nutrients in optimal levels, as they will 'run right through you.' It's better to find a good balance. People usually experiment with different levels of fiber (soluble/insoluble - soluble is constipating in high amounts and absorbs toxins, insoluble gets things moving, brushes out toxins), but if you're not into fiber, then you should experiment with your food groups/supplements. Keep tweaking it until you get a good 'type number' of stool. You said you weren't dehydrating yourself or losing electrolytes, so I guess it's not too bad if you're not having "the runs" constantly. It really depends how loose and 'fast' we're talking.
Look I'm a 13 year old female and I have loose bowel movements every morning and evenings and yes I do hate it but i feel fine later like when I get to school or whatever and to me you just have to get on with life its not a life threatening disease like cancer and we should just be happy that we are not suffering from it. If you are worried about your stools and they are constantly watery or very loose stools then it may be a good idea to visit a gp who can put you on medication or refer You to a clinic to have a scan just to mKe sure that your bowels are working properly and there is no tumours in there hope I helped thanks from sapphire love
If you have been to the gp or hospital And they have said that everything is fine then there's nothing to worry about it's properly just what your Bowles are like try And take some paracitemols they work a treat for me I hate swallowing them though hope I helped for the third time sapphire love
