It's a crazy idea, but it just might work ?! In the midst of some colitis pain yesterday, I began thinking about how (at least for my colitis type), some lubrication in the system might ease the pain of an inflamed colon trying to pass waste. Bonus points if the lubrication source promoted healing or good flora, since its been theorized that colitis is the product of a bacterial imbalance. Naturally, this led me to coconut oil, with its caprylic acid and appropriateness for internal and external use.
To make the actual suppositories, I figured that I would coax semi-solid coconut oil into a bullet-like shape with spoons, and then freeze the bullets.
Has any tried something like this before? Any reasons why this would or wouldn't be a good thing to try?
