I haven't come across any guideline or micronutrient breakdown on recommended daily fat intake. All of them only come in MACROS, like 25/40/35 Carb/Protein/Fat ratio.
I was able to find how much certain amino acids to take a day but they don't even add up to the total protein for a 2000 cal diet, which is weird. I mean, what other aminos are there to be filled up? The USDA has no answer for that.
My question is what should be the ideal Fatty acid ratio for Saturated and Unsaturated fats? If you can break it down further to stearic acid, PUFAs, MUFAs, that would be great! Thanks.
Keep your fats as saturated as possible. Keep PUFA as low as possible, with a range of 2:1 to 1:4 Omega-3:Omega:6 ratio. MUFA will make up the remainder.
In terms of absolute quantity of fat, that will entirely depend on how big you are, how much exercise you get, etc.
