I went Paleo about a year ago to combat diabetes. Now I don't take anything for diabetes and my sugar is completely under control. Lately, I've noticed a lot tightness in my chest and I feel like I'm the verge of a heart attack. Should I go back to eating oatmeal/whole grains to prevent a heart attack?

I would get yourself to a doctor to have that checked out instead of asking random people on the internet. |

Do you have a history of gallbladder problems? Is the tightening you're feeling be a sharp or tearing sensation? Speaking from personal experience, the only time I thought I was having a heart attack it turned out to be a gallbladder attack. I was mis-diagnosed at first. They knew it wasn't my heart but they though it was spasms of my esophagus. A few weeks later,I got a huge gallstone caught in my liver duct--I turned a lovely yellow with bright gold specks and wound up in the emergency room. They said it probably got caught during the earlier pain but released again before getting stuck for good. |

Health vs health? A tricky dilemma, but I would not recommend eating unhealthily to resolve it. |
