Kerrygold is no longer available where I live, but there are some other butters. Never quite sure how good or bad they are, i.e. are the cows grassfed?
Right now I'm using Champion Pure Irish Creamery Butter. Know anything about it?
How about Lurpak butter (not their fake stuff)?
I'm in the exact same boat. Apparently, they use to sell Kerry Gold where I live, but now the only thing I can find is french butter and Champion.
In Ireland, all cows are predominantly grass-fed. The issue with champion though I think is that it's pasteurized, which removes a lot of the nutritional content of the butter and destroys the omega 3 content.
Don't quote me on that though, but every bit of butter where I live is pasteurized, especially the foreign stuff.
But yes, champion butter is predominantly grass-fed, so it's your best option.
I thing both Kerrygold and Champion come from the same pastures:
