I bought a groupon for Arenal in Baltimore (10 sessions for $39). I wasn't able to find any reviews of the place online, but the deal was too good to pass up, especially since I've been wanting to dip my toe into the crossfit scene for a while now.

Does anyone have any experience with this place, specifically the quality of the trainers?

I don't know anything about that particular CrossFit, so my advice is more general. Don't get seduced by price. Make sure the trainers have personal training and / or national certifications over & above CrossFit Level 1s. All you need to open a CrossFit is a free weekend & a credit card. Not all CrossFit gyms are equal.

It might be worth checking out South Baltimore Crossfit. I have never been but those guys are always hanging out as Welbourn's site and seem knowledgeable. Its nice to see coaches that trained with someone other than Crossfit HQ.

Not sure about Arenal Crossfit, but I'm a trainer at CrossFit Sculpt which is just outside of Owings Mills. It's a fun gym, with trainers who have various certs. Some teach boxing, others have CrossFit level 1 certs and even Crossfit Football certs. Many of our trainers have attended various seminars such as Robb Wolf and Kstarr of Mobility WOD. Come check us out!

Arenal is great. A lot of experience trainers with certifications well above and beyond level one

Having been to most of the CF boxes in Baltimore it's definitely the most well run
